SMART Local 46 is currently looking for motivated workers of all skill levels to fill positions performing sheet metal and HVAC/R work in the upstate New York counties of: Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates.

- Commercial and Residential Sheet Metal Workers
- HVAC/R Technicians and Installers
- CAD
- Digital Controls
- Testing & Balancing
- Welding/Fabrication
- Architectural Sheet Metal

SMART Local 46 sets the area standards in wages and benefits. No matter what your skill level, we have a competitive wage package for you. Our members receive an hourly wage with additional benefits including medical, dental, vision, annuity, and pensions all provided at no extra cost to you with opportunities for Over Scale, Paid Vacation, Company Truck, Phone and More!
Our Benefits don’t come off your hourly wage, they are in addition to what you make on the check!
Our Commercial Apprentice’s start out at $19.03 on the check with $11.70 in benefits for a total package of $30.73 with a defined progression to achieve journeyperson status.
Our Journeyperson earn $40.87 on the check with $28.96 in benefits for a total package of $69.83.
Apprenticeship Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid NYS Drivers License
- Reliable Transportation
- High School Diploma or GED (For Apprenticeship Applicants Only)
- Pass a pre-hire Drug Screening
- Have the desire to learn and work well with others
- Use industry related tools and safety products
- Authorized to work in the United States
