SMART Local 214 is currently looking for motivated workers of all skill levels to fill positions performing sheet metal, architectural metals and industrial welding in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

SMART Local 214 sets the area standards in wages and benefits. Our pay packages includes health insurance for the whole family and retirement savings. No matter what your skill level we have a competitive wage package for you.
Our Apprentices start out at $14.00/HR with an additional $9.16 in benefits for a total wage package of $23.16/HR.
Apprentices receive significant increases as they progress through our program.
Our Journeymen make $28.00/HR on the check with an additional $14.27 in benefits for a total wage package of $42.27/HR.
Our Apprentices start out at $15.19/HR with an additional $6.56 in benefits for a total wage package of $21.75/HR.
Apprentices receive significant increases as they progress through our program.
Our Journeymen make $30.38/HR on the check with an additional $14.38 in benefits for a total wage package of $44.76/HR.
Work Opportunities

- Commercial HVAC Duct Work
- Light Commercial HVAC
- Architectural/Roofing Work
- Industrial Sheet Metal/Welding

Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid State issued ID
- Have dependable transportation
- Pass a pre-hire drug screening
- High School Diploma or GED (For Apprenticeship Applicants Only)
- Have the desire to learn and works well with others
- Use industry related tools and safety products
- Authorized to work in the United States
