SMART Local 537 is currently looking for motivated workers of all skill levels to fill positions performing Industrial Sheet Metal Work on the South Niagara Hospital.
Be A Part Of History
Local 537 Sheet Metal Workers and Roofer’s signatory contractors have secured work on the the upcoming South Niagara Hospital.
This $3.6 billion dollar project is estimated to need approximately 100 workers performing HVAC.
You could be one of those skilled workers.
The project is now moving forward, we are anticipating a need for workers coming in January 2025, there will be numerous opportunities forthcoming.

Competitive Wages and Benefits
SMART Local 537 sets the area standards in wages and benefits. No matter what your skill level we have a competitive wage package for you.
Our Apprentices start out at $22.90/HR with an additional $7.21 in benefits for a total wage package of $32.21/HR.
Apprentices receive significant increases as they progress through our program.
Our Journeymen make $48.27/HR Plus $8.86/HR Employer paid Pension on the check with an additional $18.61 in benefits for a total wage package of $70.80/HR.

- Industrial and Large Commercial HVAC Duct Work

Requirements
- 308A Sheet Metal Worker Journeyperson or Registered Apprentice in good standing
- Resume
- Valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation
- High School Diploma (apprentice applicants only)
- Transcripts including Gr. 12 Technical Math (apprentice applicants only)
- S.I.N. Card/Copy or T4
- Physically able to bend, lift (50+ Lbs.) and stand for long periods of time
- Use industry related tools and safety products
- Have the desire to learn and works well with others
