Established in 2021, the SMART-TD National/Regional Training Seminar (RTS) model mirrors the traditional model of the Regional Meetings by providing educational opportunities within a reasonable driving distance of a number of locals and offer training for all Local officers: Presidents, Trustees, Secretary/Treasurers, Legislative Representatives and Local Chairpersons.
State Legislative Directors and General Chairpersons of Jurisdiction help to organize, promote and handle the arrangements of the meeting, and the union’s education team comes to the locals.
Booking lodging to attend a SMART-TD educational seminar is the responsibility of the attendee. There are fees associated with attendance.
All RTS presentations will be available on the SMART University site, and those attending future meetings can print them off to assist in following along when attending the in-person classes.
